Ye Olde Franklin Tavern
Today the only real interest in the Franklin is Ye Olde Franklin Tavern, a pleasant historic pub abreast the road which proudly signifys that it was established in 1853 and the jetty abreast the river which was once used as a major point for shipping timber and fruit from the section. In the river at Franklin is the long nthistle strip of land known as Egg Island.
